Moonstone has always been one of my favorite crystals. It was one of the first stones that really spoke to me. Mostly shipped in from Switzerland, Sri Lanka and India, the Moonstone itself holds within it the very essence of the divine feminine and assists in a deeper connection with the Moon, keeper of secrets and the inner knowing. Moonstone is said to aid in intuition as well as honoring and accepting the cycles that we experience in our life.

As far as legends and folklore go, it seems that there are several different ways that Moonstone has been used throughout the centuries. In the Hindu legend, moonstone was formed from moonbeams and was believed to hold your future and could only be seen under a full moon. In India, it brought good fortune to those who wore it. It some of the Arab countries, women would sew it into their undergarments as a means to help with fertility. Believed to posses the magic of the moon, in ancient Rome, other properties such as love, femininity, dreams, and intuition were also associated with Moonstone. It's also a great stone among lovers, bringing about tender thoughts and passion for one another.

This stone connects you to the power and the energy of the Moon, most definitely. It assists in new projects and creations, planting new seeds, ideas, and inspiration. It creates new beginnings, new directions and creativity. Reach out and allow the magic of the Moon to pour into your life. Check out your local gem stores to see if this stone is available to you! Thanks for stopping by my friends. Stay tuned for the next one! Namaste, yo.
